Sun and Saturn Were Never Meant to Teach Us Hate

In astrology, we have always heard one sentence repeatedly: Sun and Saturn are enemies.

But if you observe carefully, every Shani temple still calls Saturn Surya Putra: the son of the Sun.

Now pause and think.

If the relationship was only about hatred, why would that identity still remain attached with respect?

Maybe because somewhere, we misunderstood the meaning of “enemy.”

Not every difference is a war.

Not every opposite nature is toxic.

And not every difficult relationship is meant to be destroyed.

Sometimes, two people simply have different ways of functioning.

The Sun believes in speed, action, visibility, expression, leadership.

Saturn believes in patience, discipline, depth, silence, and slow growth.

One shines immediately.

The other builds slowly.

One says, “Do it now.”

The other says, “Wait and understand.”

Neither is wrong. They simply carry different energies. And this is exactly what life tries to teach us through them.

Today, most relationships break not because love is missing, but because acceptance is missing. We label people too quickly.

“Too emotional.”

“Too practical.”

“Too slow.”

“Too dominating.”

“Too silent.”

But what if the person is not wrong?

What if their soul simply works differently than yours?

Sun and Saturn teach us one of the deepest lessons of human connection:

Two people can walk differently and still walk together.

Because where Saturn becomes fearful or too delayed, the Sun gives courage and movement.

And where the Sun becomes impatient or impulsive, Saturn brings grounding and maturity.

They balance each other. That is the beauty of relationships. Nobody is complete alone. Nobody is perfect.

And no relationship becomes beautiful without understanding each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

The problem begins when we start calling differences “enemies” instead of seeing them as complementary energies.

If we truly understood this one lesson, half of the relationship issues in life would disappear.

Not everyone will think like us.

Not everyone will express love like us.

Not everyone will process emotions, work, pain, or growth the same way.

And that is okay. The goal is not to become identical.

The goal is to respect each other while growing side by side.

Just like the Sun and Saturn.

Parallel energies.

Different identities.

Different speeds.

Yet deeply connected.

Maybe that is why Saturn is still called Surya Putra.

Because beyond all the myths, they were never teaching hatred.

They were teaching coexistence.
